When to start fertility acupuncture
Many people begin fertility acupuncture around three months before trying to conceive or before a planned IVF cycle. This gives us time to look at your cycle, health history, test results and wider wellbeing, then build a treatment plan around your individual needs.
If you are already trying to conceive, preparing for IVF, waiting for test results, or approaching embryo transfer, you can still get support. I will meet you where you are and tailor each session around your current stage, your medical plan and how you are feeling emotionally. Using coaching skills, I can help you to manage any emotional issues you are experiencing.
Fertility challenges can feel isolating, but you're not alone.
At Ancient Roots Fertility Acupuncture, I provide thoughtful, evidence-based care to support your reproductive health. Every treatment is tailored, every session grounded in empathy and experience.
Whether you’re trying to conceive naturally, undergoing IVF, or managing hormonal or pregnancy-related issues, acupuncture offers a safe and holistic way forward

FAQs
What is fertility acupuncture and how can it support people trying to conceive?
1
Fertility acupuncture is a personalised form of acupuncture used to support people at different stages of their reproductive journey. Treatment may focus on cycle patterns, hormonal health, stress, symptoms, IVF preparation, pregnancy support, or simply creating space to feel heard and supported while you work through next steps.
When is the best time to start fertility acupuncture?
2
If possible, many clients choose to begin around three months before trying to conceive or starting IVF. The maturation of ovarian follicles is on a 3 month cycle, as is the sperm so I am working to improve the future of your reproduction. This also allows time to understand your cycle, review relevant tests and build a treatment plan. If you are already in the middle of treatment or trying now, it is still worth getting in touch.
Can acupuncture support IVF treatment?
3
Yes, acupuncture can be used alongside IVF treatment. Sessions can be tailored around your clinic protocol, including preparation, stimulation, embryo transfer and the waiting period afterwards. The focus is on supporting your body, your nervous system and your emotional wellbeing throughout the process.
What happens at the first fertility acupuncture appointment?
4
Your first appointment includes a full consultation where we talk through your health history, cycle, fertility journey, test results and any medical treatment you are having. I will then create a tailored plan and, where appropriate, begin treatment during the same session.
How much does fertility acupuncture cost?
Your first appointment includes a detailed consultation so we can talk through your health history, fertility journey, cycle, test results and any treatment you may already be having. From there, I’ll create a plan that feels clear, realistic and personal to you.
